We're excited to announce that we are collaborating with Ernst & Young for the 2016 startup competition THE PITCH in Tel Aviv.
Currently in its fifth year, THE PITCH is for companies in the fields of IT, Mobile, Social, E-commerce, Healthcare, and others, which have raised less than $2M in funding from outside sources. To qualify for the competition, the startups had to be Seed or Early Stage companies with less than $2M in annual revenue, and fewer than three years old.
For this competition, Zirra covered all semi-finalists using our unique blend of data collected and aggregated from across the web, combining automation with analyst insight, expert reviews, and crowd wisdom. Key information we collected about each company (including awards, various types recognition, market insights, investment data, etc.) will be shown on screen during the Q&A session after each company finishes with their pitch.
Additionally, each of the 7 finalists will be granted a free comprehensive data analysis report (valued at $2,000). An example report can be viewed here.
At the semi-finals, which are to take place on Monday, September 5th, the 27 semi-finalists will present their startups and give their pitch to over 200 investors, entrepreneurs, journalists, tech enthusiasts, and many others. The finals are to take place during the Journey Conference on September 28 at the Hilton Hotel in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Finalists of THE PITCH will enjoy extensive opportunities and benefits, and the winner will travel throughout the United States to meet investors, business partners, and potential clients. The winner will get an opportunity to represent Israel at the IBM SmartCamp Global Competition, the finals of which will take place in March 2017 in San Francisco. The winner of IBM SmartCamp Global Competition will be offered entry to the LAUNCH Incubator Spring Class 2017 and a $25,000 investment from Jason Calacanis as well as having Calacanis join the board.
Previous winners of THE PITCH include SkiFi (2015), Mobilibuy (2014), Nova Lumos (2013), and CB4 (2012).
We’re excited to see the the 27 startups present at the semi-finals, and we’re even more excited to have been able to collaborate on this great competition.
